Complete IPTV Setup Guide Ireland — Every Device, Step by Step
Whatever you are watching on, the job is the same: install a player, type in three details, wait for the guide to build. Pick your device below and only the instructions that apply to you will show. Most people are watching inside five minutes.
What you need before you begin
Three things, and you almost certainly have two of them already. Have the third open on your phone before you sit down at the television.
Set up IPTV on your device
Choose what you are watching on. Only the steps for that device will show, so there is nothing to scroll past and nothing to confuse.
How to set up IPTV on a Firestick
The most common setup in Ireland, and the one our support team knows best. Two stages: allow the stick to install apps, then enter your login.
How to set up IPTV on a Samsung Smart TV
Samsung's Tizen platform carries compatible players in its own store, so there is no sideloading and no developer mode. The player asks for a device ID, which you send to us.
How to set up IPTV on an LG Smart TV
LG's webOS works the same way as Samsung: install from the TV's own store, hand us a device ID, and the channels appear. No developer mode, no sideloading.
How to set up IPTV on Android TV, a box or a phone
The most flexible route, and the one that gives you the best player options. Everything comes from the Play Store, so there is usually nothing to sideload.
How to set up IPTV on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Everything comes from the App Store, so there is nothing to enable and nothing to sideload. The trade-off is fewer player choices than Android.
How to set up IPTV on a MAG-style box
MAG boxes do not use apps. They load a portal address, and we attach your subscription to the box's MAC address at our end. Most of this is done by us.
How to set up IPTV on Windows and Mac
The fastest way to confirm a trial line is live, before you touch the television at all. Two routes: VLC for a quick test, or a proper desktop player for actual viewing.
Loading the EPG TV guide correctly
An empty guide is the second most common setup complaint after buffering, and it is almost always one of four things.
You have not waited long enough
The first EPG download pulls roughly seven days of listings for tens of thousands of channels. On a slow connection that can take a minute or two, and the app looks broken while it happens.
Leave it on the channel list for two full minutes before deciding anything is wrong. Subsequent launches are instant because the data is cached.
You used M3U instead of Xtream Codes
A plain M3U playlist gives the player channels but no guide data unless you also supply a separate EPG URL. Xtream Codes fetches both automatically.
If your guide is empty, check which login method you used. Switching to the Xtream Codes option solves this outright on most players.
Your device clock or time zone is wrong
If listings appear but sit an hour out, the device time zone is the culprit rather than the guide. Set the device to Dublin time and enable automatic clock updates.
This is especially common on cheap Android boxes shipped with a default region set to somewhere else entirely.
The cache needs clearing
If the guide loaded once and then stopped updating, the cached copy has gone stale. Most players have a "clear cache" or "reload EPG" option in settings.
Clear it, restart the app, and give it the same minute or two it needed on first install. If it still will not populate, message support and we will check it from our side.
Router and Wi-Fi settings that improve picture quality
More buffering complaints are solved here than anywhere else on this site. None of it requires technical knowledge, and none of it costs money.
- Test your speed on the device itself, not on a laptop in a different room. That number is the one that matters.
- Check what else is running — a large download or a console update mid-match will affect the stream.
- A mesh node near the TV beats a Wi-Fi extender, which halves throughput by design.
Setup questions
What people ask mid-setup. If you are stuck right now, message support — someone will walk you through it live.
Nine times out of ten it is a trailing space, usually from pasting. Retype the details by hand rather than copying them. Also check the server URL is complete including the http prefix and any port number, and that you have selected Xtream Codes rather than M3U if the app offers both.
Three to eight minutes depending on the device. Apple and Android are quickest, Samsung and LG take a little longer because of the device-ID step, and MAG boxes need us to register the MAC first. If you have been at it twenty minutes, stop and message us rather than continuing to guess.
Xtream Codes wherever the player offers it. It pulls the channel list and the programme guide together, which is why guides come out empty when people use M3U by mistake. Use M3U only for players that do not support the first method, such as VLC.
We will walk you through it step by step on WhatsApp while you are sat in front of the television, and that is included at no cost on every plan. Most people who ask are done inside ten minutes. We cannot access your device remotely, but talking it through works fine.
Yes, and it costs nothing. Repeat the same steps with the same three details on as many devices as you own. The limit applies to how many stream at the same moment, not how many you install on. MAG boxes are the exception — those are tied to a MAC address, so tell us first.
Work through it in this order: set the buffer to 4–8 seconds, confirm the device is on 5 GHz rather than 2.4 GHz, move the stick out from behind the TV, then restart the router at the wall. That sequence resolves the large majority. If it survives all four, message us and we will move your line to a different server.
Once you are up and running
Pick the right player for your device, know the fixes before you need them, and check what your hardware can actually handle.
We will set it up with you
Free setup help is included on every plan and on the trial. Message support while you are sat in front of the television and someone will talk you through it, step by step, until it works.
