What to include in your message

The panel above adds most of this automatically. If you are messaging about a problem, these four things turn a twenty-minute conversation into a two-minute one.

1Your device and player app"Firestick with TiVimate" tells us more than "my TV". Different devices and apps have completely different fixes.
2The exact channel nameIf specific channels are affected, name them. We cannot monitor tens of thousands of feeds ourselves, so a named list gets them repaired quickly.
3What you have already triedSaves us suggesting the four things you did an hour ago. Even "I restarted the router" is useful.
4A photo of any error messageThe exact wording tells us whether it is a codec fault, an authentication problem or a dead feed. One photo often settles it outright.

Faster than waiting

Before you message — the quick wins

Four things solve most problems in under two minutes, and you do not need us for any of them. Try these first and message us if they do not work.

Set your buffer to 4–8 seconds In your player's playback settings. Defaults are often far too small, which turns any small network wobble into a visible stutter.
Check you are on 5 GHz Wi-Fi Not the 2.4 GHz network. Then move the stick out from behind the television if it is tucked into a metal-backed cabinet.
Update your player app The usual explanation when something worked fine last season. An outdated build handles newer codecs badly and no change at our end can fix it.
Restart the router at the wall Unplug it, wait thirty seconds, plug it back in. A quick power cycle is not the same thing, and this resolves a surprising share of problems on its own.
FAQ

Contact questions

How support actually works here, answered plainly.

Usually within minutes during Irish evenings and weekends, which is when most people are watching and most problems happen. Daytime messages are typically answered within the hour, and anything sent overnight is picked up by morning.

We handle support through messaging rather than phone calls, and that is deliberate. Setup involves usernames, passwords and server URLs — details that are far easier to send as text you can copy than to read out and spell over a phone line. It also means you have a written record to refer back to.

We cannot take control of your device, but we will walk you through it step by step while you sit in front of the television, and that works fine. Most people are streaming within ten minutes of asking. Say up front if you are not confident with technology and we will slow the pace down.

Never send card numbers, bank details or passwords for anything other than your IPTV line. We do not need them and will never ask for them in a message. If anyone claiming to be us asks for card details over chat, stop and contact us through this page instead.

Of course, and you will not get a sales pitch for it. Plenty of people message to check whether their device will cope or whether a particular kind of content is carried. If the honest answer is that we are not the right fit, we will tell you that too.

No obligation

Ask us anything before you decide

You do not need to be a customer to message us, and there is no sales pitch waiting. If we are not the right fit for what you want to watch, we will say so.
